No. You can read entirely in English. Hebrew sits alongside if you want it, and you can tap any word to learn it.
Not at all. Scrollah is for anyone curious about the Torah: culturally Jewish, secular, observant, or not Jewish at all. We explain; we don’t grade anyone’s observance.
The Hebrew (Tanach with Nikkud) and the English (JPS 1917) are public domain, via Sefaria. Commentary comes from Sefaria in openly licensed translations, and every passage shows its source and licence.
Ask Scrollah, a study companion that cites its sources, is built but not switched on yet. When it is, AI explanations will always be labelled as AI and kept separate from the text and the commentators. It won’t give religious rulings.

Yes. Add Scrollah to your home screen (on iPhone: Share, then Add to Home Screen). The Torah text is stored on your device, so reading works offline.
We count things in aggregate (like “lessons completed today”) and never build a profile of what you read. You can turn even that off, download your data, or delete your account at any time.
